ESI Items by Price Class

The ESI Item by Price Class function creates an export file of the base selling prices for all items in a price class or price classes.

1. Follow the common External System Interface (ESI) overview and instructions found in the ESI menu overview.

2. When you first enter the ESI Items By Price Class option a Select An Option window will display the following options:

• EXIT – Select EXIT to exit and return to the Interface menu.
• ALL – Select ALL to select all price classes defined in the system.
• A list of price classes from which to choose from.

Scroll to the appropriate selection and press Enter. An asterisk (*) will appear confirming your selection. Select EXIT to continue.

If the file name and type selected already exist, the following message will display: "Warning: File already exists!!! Continue? No/Yes."

• Select no to return to the Select An Option window.
• Select yes to create a new file with the same name that already exists.

3. The following message will display: "Create a delimited ASC file? No/Yes?"

• Select no to create a DBF file only.
• Select yes to create a DBF file and an ASC file.

Make the appropriate selection.

The following message will appear: "(File name) file creation completed!!! Space bar to continue." Press the space bar to continue.

Two DBF files will be created PIMMDDYYYY.dbf and PI_Last.dbf in the Shared \NetYield\Data\Company Name\ESI Outbox folder. The PIMMDDYYYY.dbf file is the ESI Item by Price Class file for the current date with MMDDYYYY equal to the current date The PI_Last.dbf is a copy of the current file. If an ASC file was created, the file name will be PIMMDDYYYY.asc and will be found in Shared \NetYield\Data\Company Name\ESI Outbox folder.
